The recent regulation regarding the so-called Whistleblowing, dictated by Legislative Decree no. 24/2023, implementing EU Directive 1937/2019, requires private employers (as well as public ones) to establish channels for reporting by employees (both staff and non-staff) of alleged irregularities committed within the company. These irregularities encompass a wide range of offenses, from predicate offenses under Legislative Decree 231, to violations of EU regulations protecting the environment or consumers, to breaches of antitrust regulations, and more.
